Who Can Vote

There are different eligibility requirements for voting in the First-Year Election and Campus-Wide Elections. The charts below details which currently enrolled UT students are eligible to vote for which entities open positions.

First-Year Elections (Fall)

Student Government

Position Who Can Vote
First-Year Representative All currently enrolled first-year students (freshmen + transfer students)

Campus-Wide Elections (Spring)

Students with dual enrollment are eligible to vote in the election for each school or college they are enrolled in.

Unless otherwise indicated, “graduate students” means all graduate and professional students enrolled in the Graduate School, McCombs School of Business, Dell Medical School, LBJ School of Public Affairs, and the College of Pharmacy.

Texas Student Media Board: At-Large Student Member All currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.
Texas Student Media Board: Moody College Student Member All currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.

University Co-op Board of Directors
