Outstanding Service Graduation Cord & Honors
Students who complete 400 or more verified service hours during their undergraduate degree at UT Austin are eligible to receive a Graduation Cord for Outstanding Service. This distinction honors students who have made a long-term commitment to community engagement and allows them to celebrate that impact at graduation.
Recipients receive a certificate and a special service cord to wear during commencement.
- For Students: Track your hours on GivePulse and apply during your final semester to be considered for this recognition.
- For Advisors & Faculty: Promote this opportunity to students in your programs and help them build a habit of tracking service hours early.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a graduating UT Austin undergraduate
- Must have logged at least 400 verified service hours on GivePulse
- Hours must be submitted and verified before the application deadline
