Purpose: Showtime programs events that center on media, pop culture, and student trends/interests. In addition, Showtime oversees the Blockbuster and Late Night Film series and the Texas Union Film Festival (TUFF). Showtime seeks to bring students together through common interests in film, television, gaming, and current events.
Membership: Open to all current UT students. Meetings are held on Mondays at 5pm in the Texas Union Asian Culture Room (UNB 4.224) during long semesters.
Functions: Blockbuster Film Series, Late Night Film Series, advanced screenings, sing-alongs, outdoor screenings. Past events include advanced screening of "Paranormal Activity 3," Outdoor screening of "Inception," "Aladdin" sing-along, and the annual Texas Union Film Festival.
