Purpose: The purpose of Theta Chi is to give men at UT the opportunity to be a part of a truly life-changing experience by providing them with the tools to grow as a student, leader, and man. Theta Chi is not just another club, but an organization of men with the desire to build lifetime friendships and devote time to develop values. Theta Chi teaches, inspires, and empowers any member to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom and throughout their lives.

Membership: Men should be well-rounded, service-oriented individuals who place a high level of value on their academic work. Theta Chi also looks for men who have leadership potential and the desire to become involved on campus and within the community. Theta Chi encourages diversity in its membership and recruits men who are genuine people and true gentlemen.

Functions: Theta Chi Fraternity provides endless opportunities for social, leadership, and service involvement on the UT campus and in the community of Austin. Theta Chi is also a great brotherhood and networking tool with over 165,000 initiated brothers and 136,000 alumni worldwide. Theta Chi provides numerous scholarship opportunities, awarding more that $192,000 last year to undergraduate and graduate students. Theta Chi also has travel opportunities with three national conferences around the country every year.
