Swing Out Awards - Apply

READY TO APPLY ONLINE?

Please follow the three steps below to ensure your application is submitted correctly:

  1. Ensure your organization is in good standing.
    • Only student organizations that are in good standing with the Office of the Dean of Students may apply. Organizations must remain in good standing throughout the application and review process.
    • If your organization is frozen in HornsLink, that means it is not in good standing. Organizations are frozen for a number of reasons, including but not limited to: having less than three officers, less than 10 members, outstanding financial bill, failure to complete Safety Education and failure to complete annual registration. Contact Student Activities at 512-471-3065 with the full name of your organization to learn how to resolve any issues.
  2. Ensure your organization is HornsLink Official.
    Update the five areas listed below are updated on the organizations HornsLink profile.
    • About this Organization - Update all sections including Organization Details, Full Description, Contact Information, External Websites or Social Media, and the Organizations Purpose fields.
    • Roster Update - Update student organizations HornsLink roster with all active members. It is recommended that active members request to "join" the student organization and an officer approve their request in the "pending" section of the student organizations HornsLink roster.
    • Update Profile Photo – Add an updated profile photo to your organizations page.
    • Add Group Photos – Add at least two photos of members and/or organization events to the organizations photo gallery.
    • Publish a Public News Article – Utilize the News tool to publish a public news article highlighting your organization.
  3. Review and complete the online application.
    • Designate one officer to complete the application.
    • At 8 a.m. CST on Monday, February 12, 2024, log into HornsLink with your EID and password and complete the Swing Out Awards Online Application.
    • Application can be updated, saved and submitted until 11:59 p.m. CST on Friday, March 8, 2024.
