2024 Summer Internship Program

Longhorn Wellness Center

The intern in this position will be working on health-related programming and prevention efforts that address priority health issues on campus.

• Assist in brainstorming creative and innovative ways to deliver health programming.
• Develop, edit and update health and wellness materials for website and other communication channels.
• Collaborate with staff, campus partners, and other students to implement health programs.
• Complete research into relevant health and wellness topics.
• Assist with tracking, compiling, and evaluating programmatic data.
• Participate in all required Summer Internship Program cohort activities and assessments.

• Background (through coursework, past/current employment, or other avenues of learning) in health and wellness related areas.
• Commitment to non-judgmental approach to a variety of health and wellness topics that is inclusive of a diverse range of values and viewpoints.
• Flexible and approach's work with a growth mindset.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on starting and following up on projects.
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
• Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with campus culture and events.
