Living the Longhorn Life Events
Living the Longhorn Life events offer inclusive, free and fun opportunities to get involved on campus. Events focus on mental and physical wellness, sustainability, making connections and building community. Find upcoming events on our HornsLink page.
We offer two main types of events:
- Grab and Go: These events provide a quick connection for students, usually offering free food, UT Austin giveaways and more.
- Activity: These events include our different event series, as well as one-time activities.
We offer monthly recurring themed events. Learn more about our different event series:
Join us off campus and explore the dynamic city of Austin! Events include a bat-watching cruise on Lady Bird Lake, a trip to the Mueller Farmers' Market and live theater performances.
Flavors of Austin:
We are bringing Austin's iconic food scene to you! Enjoy a free food item from a different local Austin eatery each month. Past treats include ice cream, cupcakes and churros.
Let us help you prepare for success after college with our Adulting 101 event series. Topics include an introduction to cooking, workshops on apartment hunting, emergency preparedness and more.
Work It Wednesday:
Break a sweat with your fellow Longhorns at our free monthly workout class! Rotating workouts include kickboxing, yoga and more. Work it Wednesday is a collaboration with Rec Sports.
Embrace your creativity at one of our craft nights! Examples include cookie decorating, group painting and more.
