Title IX Training and Investigations

Title IX Training and Investigations in the Office of the Dean of Students and the University of Texas at Austin are committed to provide an educational and working environment for its students that is free from sex and gender discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual misconduct, interpersonal violence (including domestic violence and dating violence) and stalking.

As required by the Department of Education and the Office of Civil Rights, our team investigates allegations of student misconduct involving sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual misconduct, interpersonal violence (including domestic violence and dating violence) and stalking. These investigations are conducted in accordance with the General Information Catalog Appendix D: Policy on Sex Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Assault, Sexual Misconduct, Interpersonal Violence, and Stalking.

All information received by our office and shared with a student will be handled in accordance with the regulations established by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights.

Our team also facilitates trainings related to the university's Title IX investigation and accommodations processes. Please email the Office of the Dean of Students to request a presentation.
