COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates

With the rapidly evolving situation and ongoing concerns about COVID-19 (coronavirus), the Office of the Dean of Students continues to closely monitor the latest information from the university and has taken a number of precautionary measures to keep you well.

Your well-being is our number one priority. Our leadership is meeting regularly to address and enact prevention and response efforts as the situation continues to evolve. Thank you for your patience while additional changes and modifications may be necessary.

Operational Updates

Office of the Dean of Students (SSB 4.104 and SSB 4.400)

The Office of the Dean of Students will be closed to walk-in traffic until further notice. Calls to 512-471-5017 will be answered by staff during business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Behavioral Concerns Advice Line (BCAL), 512-232-5050, remains available 24/7, and concerns can be submitted anonymously through this online form.

Student Emergency Services

All walk-in appointments are postponed until further notice. Students can reach Student Emergency Services by calling 512-471-5017 during business hours, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or via email. For support after business hours, including weekends, email Student Emergency Services. Student Emergency Services staff may contact you via phone or email regarding new reports, or about ongoing cases.

Student Conduct and Academic Integrity

Anyone can report academic misconduct or conduct incidents, or student organization incidents online at any time.

All currently scheduled meetings will take place via Zoom or phone. Student Conduct staff will follow up directly to make appropriate changes to all currently scheduled meetings. All walk-in appointments are postponed until further notice. Students may contact Student Conduct by leaving a voicemail at 512-471-2841, or via email.  Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours. Student Conduct staff may contact you via phone or email regarding new reports, or about ongoing cases.

Title IX Training and Investigations

Anyone can file a Title IX complaint online at any time.

All currently scheduled meetings will take place via Zoom or phone. Title IX Investigators will follow up directly to make appropriate changes to all currently scheduled meetings.  All walk-in appointments are postponed until further notice. Students may contact Title IX Training and Investigations by leaving a voicemail at 512-471-1762, or via email.  Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours. Title IX Investigators may contact you via phone or email regarding new reports, or about ongoing cases.

The Office of the Dean of Students has shifted our services and resources online. In order to support social distancing, our office locations will be closed to walk-ins and staff will conduct meetings by phone or Zoom.

The Leadership and Ethics Institute (WCP 3.104)

The Leadership and Ethics Institute offices are closed to walk-in traffic until further notice.  Students can contact the Leadership and Ethics Institute by leaving a voicemail at 512-232-5163, or via email. Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours.

Legal Services for Students

All walk-in appointments are postponed until further notice. Students can request Zoom or phone meetings with Legal Services for Students online, or by leaving a voicemail at 512-471-7796. Online and voicemail will receive a response within 48 hours. The student attorney may contact you via phone or email regarding ongoing cases.

Legislative Student Organizations (WCP 2.102)

Administrative offices for Student Government, the Senate of College Councils, and the Graduate Student Assembly (WCP 3.102) are closed until further notice. Students can contact staff by leaving a voicemail at 512-471-3166, or via email. Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours.

Safety Education

All walk-in appointments and presentations are postponed until further notice.  Students can contact Safety Education by leaving a voicemail at 512-232-4069, or via email. Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours. Safety Education staff may contact you via phone or email about your student organization's safety education training.

Sorority and Fraternity Life

All walk-in appointments are postponed until further notice.  Students can contact Sorority and Fraternity Life by leaving a voicemail at 512-471-9700, or via email. Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours. Sorority and Fraternity Life staff may contact you via phone or email about your organization's upcoming events.

Student Activities

Student Activities (UA9 2.118) and the Student Organization Center (UA9 2.112) are closed to walk-in traffic until further notice.  Students can contact Student Activities by leaving a voicemail at 512-471-3065, or via email.  Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours.

Student Veteran Services

The Student Veteran Center is closed to walk-in traffic until further notice. Students can contact Student Veteran Services by leaving a voicemail at 512-232-2835, or via email.  Voicemail and email will receive a response within 48 hours.

Student Employees

Undergraduate-student employment may be available as remote work on a case-by-case basis. Student employees should contact their supervisor about potential remote work. Graduate Assistants should contact their supervisor.
