Applying to Use VA Education Benefits for the First Time
Follow the steps below to apply for VA education benefits for the first time.

Visit VA.GOV

Under "How do I apply," Click on "Find your education benefits form" and answer the questions that are presented.

Click "Apply now"

Select: "Sign in to start your application" OR "Start your application without signing in"

Complete the application
The VA will mail a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) to the address provided in the application after your application is processed and approved (approximately 30 days).
