How to Refer a Disciplinary Matter to SJS
Although University staff members are welcome to consult with Student Judicial Services (SJS) by phone, disciplinary matters should be referred in writing and accompanied by any supporting evidence.
The referral should contain a summary of the alleged violation(s), student identification information, names of witnesses (if any), and contact information for the referring party and any witnesses.
While SJS will accept anonymous referrals, such referrals may limit the scope of our investigation of, or response to, alleged violations because students have the right to know the nature and source of information that may be used in the course of any disciplinary proceedings.
