The Student's Discipline Record
Disciplinary records, including those pertaining to scholastic dishonesty, are retained by Student Judicial Services (SJS) in the Office of the Dean of Students and kept separate from students' academic records (transcripts). Maintaining these records in a central location also allows SJS to be aware of repeated violations and address them appropriately.
Information from a disciplinary record may be released or disclosed to persons outside the University only with the written consent of the student or in accordance with state or federal law. Some governmental agencies, professional schools, and other entities do, however, request that applicants grant them access to information in these records.
Otherwise, all information concerning disciplinary matters, such as scholastic dishonesty accusations and dispositions, is strictly confidential and therefore should be treated accordingly.
