Purpose:
The purpose of the society shall be to encourage superior scholastic attainment among women and men in their first year in institutions of higher education; to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning, and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful goals in life.

Membership:
UT Austin students with a cumulative grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0 achieved in either your first semester at UT or the work of your 1st two semesters or 1st two semesters plus summer.

Functions:
Two initiations are held, one in the Fall for those students who have become eligible the preceeding semester(s), and one in the spring for those freshman students who have become eligible in the Fall semester. There is a banquet in the Spring and orientations are held for both initiations. UHC F5025 PO Box 7336
