Getting involved with student organizations is a great way to meet other people who share your interests and who can become friends. It will also give you the opportunity to express your passion, practice your hobbies, or make a difference in your community. Finally, involvement with student organizations will give you practical experience that will round out your college experience and make you more marketable upon graduation.

College life at UT Austin provides unlimited opportunities to get involved, but it can sometimes be difficult to know how to get started. Student Activities & Leadership development is the place to begin your search. With over 1,000 student organization registered with us on campus, you are sure to find one that matches your interests. If you are interested in starting your own organization, we can help you do that, too!

Here are a few resources to help you get started:

All Registered Student Organizations should be familiar with the Student Organization Manual. The manual is a terrific resource for student organizations and student leaders at UT. It contains all of the important information, resources, regulations, and helpful hints that you need to help your organization be successful.
