Media Console Keys

The Student Activities and Leadership Development office has media console keys that fit the standard media consoles that are available within many of the general purpose classrooms (GPC). Please note that not all rooms reserved by the SALD office contain these standard media consoles. Please see the website http://classroom.la.utexas.edu for a complete list of rooms that contain consoles; however, not all rooms listed on this website are general purpose classrooms and able to be reserved by the SALD office--please refer to the GPC list to determine that. Remember that if a room isn't on the GPC list we are unable to reserve it for you through our office.

On the media console Web site listed above, there is both a phone number and email address available for technical questions. You can only reach a technician at the help desk if you call during regular hours Monday through Friday. Also on the website is information on the equipment found within the console of each individual room. You can access that information by clicking on the room number you wish to check on.

Rooms in the business area in GSB, CBA and the UTC buildings do not contain the standard media consoles that the SALD office has keys to. Please call Media Services at 232-6679 or go to http://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/media/Multimedia.asp and click on "classroom info" to access the chart that shows the media capabilities within each room.

The media console keys can only be signed out by an authorized representative of the organization at the Student Organization Center front counter, SSB 4.102A. The key must be signed out in the Key Log and signed back in upon return. Please do not leave the key at the SOC counter without signing it back in on the proper line in the Key Log or your organization won't receive credit for turning the key back in and could be charged a $25.00 fee. Keys must be turned back in within 24 hours of the use of the room unless the key is used on a weekend or on consecutive nights within the same week.
