Almetris Duren Residence Hall CouncilOur purpose as a council is to represent the residents of Almetris Duren Hall in all their needs by sponsoring a diverse array of social, academic, self-interest/awareness and cultural activities. We will work efficiently to distribute funds equally to all types of hall programming. Communication CouncilOur council's main purpose is to address student concerns in the College of Communication by fostering and maintaining a strong relationship with our college's administration. Additionally, we facilitate interactions between students, faculty , and staff in the college; represent the college at University-wide events; and serve the city of Austin through our volunteer and community service outreach.As the liaison between students and faculty of the College of Communication, we are the voice of student concerns. We instill a sense of pride in the college of communication by unifying the student body with faculty and staff, creating an uplifting spirit for all.

Fine Arts CouncilFine Arts Council serves as the voice of the students of the College of Fine Arts, to the faculty and administration of the University. Through representation at thr University functions or projects that we conduct - we are able to bring about awareness of the arts of our environment. By serving and leading, we hope to make the arts a part part of everyday life.We actively recruit new members year round and provide rewards based on a fun system. Socials like broomball games absolutely fill out calendar, and we also provide fine arts students with an outlet for their work through fellowships. We also perform arts outreach through programs designed to educate and involve a typical audiences in art. We facilitate the Texas Excellence Teaching Awards, Outstanding Profes Professor Awards, Faculty Appreciation Week, and projects with the Dea Dean's office.
Graduate Business CouncilTo promote social and intellectual interaction among members, faculty and student body. To encourage teaching excellence, recommend means for improving facilities, and provide a viable means for student expression. To provide a vehicle for the informal aspects of graduate education. Conduct other activities in support of the overall welfare of the Graduate School of Business of The University of Texas at Austin.Include: faculty fireside; sandwiches seminars, and distinguished speaker program; an awards party each semester; participation in in- tramurals and other programs for informal student interactions.

Graduate Engineering CouncilThe primary purpose of the GEC is to represent the interests of the graduate engineers at The University of Texas at Austin. The GEC fulfills this purpose, serving as a liaison between the Office of the Dean of Engineering, the Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies and graduate engineers in the College of Engineering.The GEC engages in appropriate activities promoting the general welfare of the graduate engineers at The University o Texas at Austin. The GEC sponsors events such as the Graduate School Orientation Day, Income Tax Information Session, Health Benefits Information Session, Orientation Picnic for New Students and Student Research Conference and Seminar Series. Graduate Public Affairs CouncilTo serve the needs of the students of the LBJ School of Public Affairs.The purpose of GPAC is to serve the interests of the LBJ School Student Body. In order to achieve this mission, GPAC shall facilitate student initiatives, foster discussion and decision-making, and engage in advocacy on behalf of students.

Health Science Honors CouncilTo represent the interests of and create opportunities for all members of the Health Science Honors Program at the University of Texas at Austin.HSH Council will focus on recruitment for the HSH Program, social events, fundraising, volunteer opportunities, and academic affairs in a manner that benefits current, incoming, and prospective members of the HSH program.
Human Rights Student Advisory Council INACTIVEto 1)represent the undergraduate voice in the Rapoport Center's human rights work and 2) increase collaboration and communication between undergraduate human rights organizations, thereby increasing awareness and participation in activities.Human Rights Fair in April, financially or logistically support member organizations activities/events.
Interfraternity Council - IFCThe purpose of the IFC is to act as the governing body for all Greek Letter Social Fraternities. In conjunction with this purpose the IFC also operates as the liason for the fraternities and provides services to its member fraternities.The Interfraternity Council sponsors rush week in August of each year as well as Roundup in the Spring--a campus week of games, activities and social functions. The Interfraternity also distributes a Greek directory each year.
Jester East Residence Hall CouncilJE RHC was established to foster community nurture friendships, and develop leaders through interactive and stimulating programs and events. Kinsolving Residence Hall Council (KRHC)To promote interest and involvement in the Kinsolving Residence Hall. Our involvement contributes to a stronger sense of community among residents. KRHC supports RAs, sponsor social and community activities, and coordinate with our parent organization, URHA.We foster fun and spirit in the residence hall through programs like KHOP, Pajama-Rama, Halloween Carnival, Disney Karaoke, and George Kinsolving's Birthday Party.
Latino Pan-Hellenic Council - LPHCThe purpose of the Latino Pan-Hellenic Council is to act as a governing body, which serves to unify the Latino/a Fraternal Organizations. In addition to increase awareness, increase interest in and strengthen Latino/a community on campus.Participates in various community service projects, social mixers, a United Greek Olympics event and a Latino Pan-Hellenic Council
Liberal Arts CouncilCouncil shall devote itself to the furtherance of the Liberal Arts by: providing a means of communication between faculty and students; assisting in the improvement of academic standards through the invest- igation of problems seeking to enhance the quality of life within the college by promoting programs; improving student awareness of the college across the campus.Liberal Arts Council sponsors programs such as Liberal Arts Week, lunching with leaders and several forums and panels. In addition, LAC seeks to represent student interests to the Dean's office as well as to other student leaders on campus. Littlefield Residence Hall CouncilThe Littlefield Residence Hall Council serves residents of the Littlefield Residence Hall by carrying out the community traditions.The Littlefield Residence Hall Council organizes events and activities that benefit the Littlefield community.
Master in Professional Accounting Council (MPAC)MPAC shall address the community building, academic and professional development, and community services needs of students in the Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) program.Conduct general meetings to provide a source for networking between MPA students and company representatives. Moore-Hill Residence Hall CouncilThe Moore-Hill Student Government shall exist to represent and reflect the views of the residents of Moore-Hill Residence Hall located on the University of Texas Campus.Inter and intra dorm parties and functions on The University of Texas at Austin Campus, involving residents of Moore-Hill Dormitory.
Multicultural Greek Council - MGCThe MCG mission is to unite multicultural sororities and fraternities and create a supportive and strong multicultural Greek community by promoting success in higher education, increasing diversity and multicultural awareness, and developing philanthropic activities.The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the newest council sponsored by Greek Life and Intercultural Education. It is the governing council that represents and advocates for sororities and fraternities that are multicultural-by-mission. Sororities and fraternities within the MGC also promote multicultural membership among their organizations. There are four organizations currently affiliated with the MGC at the University of Texas at Austin.
National Pan-Hellenic Council - NPHCFoster unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of traditional black greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.Various group functions between the 8 black greek fraternities and sororities. Natural Sciences CouncilThe official purpose of the Natural Sciences Council is to serve as a buffer zone between the students in the Natural Sciences College and the Natural Sciences faculty. We are in existence to help direct criticism of certain programs in the college, as well as making at- tempts to resolve the problems the students run into in their daily lives (if possible). We are only the measure of the students' needs of our services in the Natural Sciences College.Not given at this time.
Pharmacy CouncilThe mission of the Pharmacy Council is to provide an official voice through which student opinion may be expressed in the College of Pharmacy; provide a means for responsible and effective participation in this organization; allow a system to enhance the quality and scope of education within the College of Pharmacy; and provide support for projects related to Pharmacy as a profession and it related fields which will benefit the University, the College, the students and the community.Pharmacy Council sponsors different types of events that encourage communication between the Deans and the students. These events include fireside chats, monthly brown bag lunches, ice cream socials and executive lunches with the Dean. Pharmacy Council also hosts New Student Orientation events such as a milestone White Coat ceremony, information sessions, and a mentor-mentee mixer at the Union Underground. In October, Pharmacy Council hosts Pharmacy Month that includes events like health fairs on and off campus and guest speakers. Other functions include Family Day, Explore UT safari style, and winter and spring socials. Pharmacy Council gives back to the faculty and staff through Faculty Appreciation Week and TETA Awards. Pharmacy Council also welcomes students at the college of Pharmacy through a hospitality room during students interviews in the spring.
Resident Assistant AssociationThe Resident Assistant Association is dedicated to improving the job of resident assistants at UT by supporting all RA's through Programs, Financial sponsorship and the advancement of benefits for all RAs. RAA Communicates with the DHFS Administration and University Officials abo ut RH issues.RAA Senate meetings are held every Wednesday at 7pm. RAA committees meet during the week to discuss issues affecting RAs and disburse funds for staff development. RAA Also works with DHFS officials on housing related issues.
San Jacinto Residence Hall CouncilThe purpose of our council is to represent the residents living in San Jacinto Residence Hall. We will strive to build a community within the hall through sponsoring various programs and events that reflect the interests of the residents. Our council will ensure San Jacinto remains a great place to live on campus. The council will continue to work closely with the University Residence Hall Association (URHA), the Division of Housing and Food Service (DHFS), and the University of Texas at Austin.SJRHC will sponsor and put in various social, academic, self-interest//awareness, and cultural activities for residents of the hall. We will work to build a community within San Jacinto through these functions.
School of Architecture Representative CouncilThe SARC intends to sustain and develop lines of communication within the UT School of Architecture and to foster a more collaborative culture of engagement between faculty, students, and administration in the design and direction of the school. We seek to facilitate communication between the various disciplines within the school and all persons involved.The principal responsibility of any elected representative is to attend the School of Architecture Committee meetings as mandated by the university. Attendance of S.A.R.C meetings is also a required activity for all representatives.
Senate of College CouncilsTo serve as the official voice of students in academic affairs through representation by the College Councils.To foster a sense of community in academics at the university of texas at Austin by representing all students in academic affairs, championing the efforts of the college councils, creating awareness and pride in the academic strength of the university, and ensuring that the university of Texas at Austin is and remains a "university of the first class."
Social Work CouncilThe council attempts to further the education of social work students by providing a forum for communication with faculty and staff to improve the school of social work. The council also provides educational, service and social action activities to enhance student involvement and cohesion.SWC provides social work students with a voice in the campus-wide Senate of College Councils and keeps students up to date on current social work issues with an emphasis on UT and Austin while bringing students together through school and campus events, socials, volunteering, and activist opportunities.
Student Association of the School of Information (SASI)SASI is the official council for the School of Information. We strive to promote a sense of community within the iSchool and foster the ideas of professionalism and leadership. SASI is the primary link between School of Information Students and the administration of the school and the university.SASI sponsors a number of iSchool events including the Austin Edible Book Festival, Tea with the Dean, as well as spontaneous student-initiated events. SASI also provides grants for iSchool students to attend professional conferences.
Student Bar AssociationThe student body of the law school is organized as a Student Bar Association, the membership of which includes all students in the school. The officers of the association are president, vice president secretary, treasurer, and Board of Governors. The organization co- ordinates the intellectual, cultural, social, and community service activities of the student body. Student Engineering Council (SEC)The Student Engineering Council helps provide a vital and necessary bond between the students of the College of Engineering, its administration and the professional world. Through career fairs, competitions, and other programs the Engineering Council teaches and communicates information about academic issues, professional topics, and general interests. UT Nursing Students' Association (UTNSA)The ultimate purpose of The University of Texas Nursing Students' Association is to bring Texas nursing students closer together while providing as many opportunities to give back to our community as possible. We strive to improve the health and wellbeing of our community in any was possible and work to ensure our members have fun doing so. We believe in strengthening the weaker around us in order to ensure a lasting and beneficial future for generations. UTNSA also represents nursing students in Senate and Student Government and serves as the official liaison between students and legislative authority. We are rapidly expanding our reaches within the two organizations and are working diligently to have our voices and concerns (as well as praises) heard.UTNSA both hosts and participates in many volunteer and social events each semester and year. Some of these events and projects include Aid.480, our mass clothing drive held each semester; health and wellness fairs such as The Homeless Resource Fair and Feria Para Aprender; Longhorn Schoolbus; and Explore UT. We also provide many opportunities for our members to connect as well as for and with students of other majors, such as movie night socials and trips to see the famous Austin bats downtown. We have a growing representation in both Senate and Student Government and attend the annual TNSA and NSNA state and national conventions, respectively, representing our great university and school of nursing.
Whitis Court Residence Hall Council INACTIVEWe, the residents of the Living/Learning Halls are here in order to ensure cooperation, coordination among Living/Learning Hall residents and to pursue policies for the betterment of the residents.We put on programs for the students so they have a chance to socialize and learn things about UT and help themselves.
