U T Aikido ClubPracticing mind-body coordination through special Ki-development exercise and through non-aggressive, non-competitive self-defense arts. We provide instruction in Ki-Aikido for both beginning and experienced persons. We try to inform the University community, through occasional seminars and demonstrations, of the art of Ki- Aikido, and to give people the chance to learn relaxation and coordi- nation techniques they can use in their daily life activities.Seminars by visiting instructors from other parts of the country. Most of our meetings are spent actually practicing Ki-Aikido flexi- bility exercises, self-defense, coordination practice, breathing and meditation. Occasionally, we see films. U T Concert ChoraleTo provide University students with a musically satisfying and educational choral experience and to extend enjoyment to the surrounding community and beyond.Each year the Concert Choir gives two campus concerts in addition to numerous smaller programs in the Austin area. The choir is composed of both music and non-music majors from the graduate and undergraduate levels.

U T Roller Hockey INACTIVETo play street hockey. We need to have a playing area reserved for us for a few designated time periods each week. If there is enough interest, we may organize a team to represent the university in competition. Even so, the club will still welcome those who are only interested in recreation and not athletics.Pick-up games or scrimmages at least twice weekly; participation in local tournaments, and possibly, competition with other schools will be our main activities. The chief purpose of this club is to preserve a place for us to play.
U T Sailing ClubAs described in the UT Sailing Club Constitution The purpose of this club shall be to provide an organized sailing program, to improve the sailing ability of any member and promote recreational sailing.Club is directed toward its goals through three major divisions of activities: 1) daysailing, 2) sailing instructions; 3) inter-club racing. U T Women's Volleyball ClubTo promote the development of olympic-style power volleyball, and to teach more players the proper way to play the sport. Volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports in the US today, but many Americans don't know that the game is more than a recreational activity. University Flying ClubThe purpose of the University Flying Clup is to provide the most affordable way of getting your pilot's license as well as providing a social atmosphere for all who are interested in aviation. We fly to different destinations all over Texas.

University Life Advocates INACTIVEULA is a student-led organization that is against abortion. Founded in the 1980s, ULA concentrates on three sectors of the pro-life movement: student out reach, women's services through crisis pregnancy centers and political activism. We strive to use non-confrontational public discourse methods to bring awareness about the injustices of abortion and on campus. In addition, we feel that providing alternatives to abortion is crucial to being pro-life. We emphasize volunteer work in order to expand and strengthen these alternatives.Meetings, lectures, debates, films, etc. concerning right to life issues. University Meteorology ClubTo study, observe, and discuss current and upcoming weather events. Look at weather-related events locally as well as nationally and discuss any important. Also, participate in activities around campus that allow the student population to be informed of the impact of meteorology. University NerdfightersThe University Nerdfighter organization is a service organization based on the example of best-selling author John Green, and his brother Hank, founder of ecogeek.com. Nerdfighters do not fight nerds, rather they fight FOR nerdiness. We are a small chapter of a larger online community, banded together by the idea of fighting to make the world a better place while eliminating the negative aspects of the world. University Theatre GuildUTG serves as an outlet for theatre for those who love theatre and did it in high school but don't necessarily want to major in it, theatre majors who want to perform but aren't cast in the department and those who want to try theatre for the first time. UTG is not connected to the theatre department and is completely self-funded.We put on two plays a semester. Our membership votes on plays and directors for the following semester. We do everything ourselves-act, direct, tech, publicize, and sometimes even write.

UT Nursing Students' Association (UTNSA)The ultimate purpose of The University of Texas Nursing Students' Association is to bring Texas nursing students closer together while providing as many opportunities to give back to our community as possible. We strive to improve the health and wellbeing of our community in any was possible and work to ensure our members have fun doing so. We believe in strengthening the weaker around us in order to ensure a lasting and beneficial future for generations. UTNSA also represents nursing students in Senate and Student Government and serves as the official liaison between students and legislative authority. We are rapidly expanding our reaches within the two organizations and are working diligently to have our voices and concerns (as well as praises) heard.UTNSA both hosts and participates in many volunteer and social events each semester and year. Some of these events and projects include Aid.480, our mass clothing drive held each semester; health and wellness fairs such as The Homeless Resource Fair and Feria Para Aprender; Longhorn Schoolbus; and Explore UT. We also provide many opportunities for our members to connect as well as for and with students of other majors, such as movie night socials and trips to see the famous Austin bats downtown. We have a growing representation in both Senate and Student Government and attend the annual TNSA and NSNA state and national conventions, respectively, representing our great university and school of nursing.
UT Objectivism SocietyTo study and discuss Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism.We function as a source of information on Objectivism and philosophy in general, on its application to daily life, and on Ayn Rand herself. We work with Ayn Rand Institute in planning our meeting and speaker presentations, and are the only campus organization to do so. Each meeting features a videotaped or audiotaped presentation on Objectivism and/or its application to a specific topic, followed by discussion. The Society also sponsors frequent public lectures by distinguished Objectivism-oriented speakers. Events are posted to U.T. online calendars and publicized on the Objectivism Society e-mailing list.
