| R.I.S.E. (Real Individuals Seeking Excellence) | RISE is a faith based organization that targets young at risk minorities. We are committed to developing and nurturing students by equipping them with the necessary ethical, intellectual, and social tools needed to succeed in life. The organization will strive to sharpen their character, build their confidence, and help them establish good work ethics in order to prepare them to have positive and productive lives as men. | The RISE organization plans on attending various schools where we will host brief seminars about manhood, we will have one-on-one mentoring, and will have outside activities as a way to become familiar with each mentee. |
| Radio-Television-Film Graduate Student Organization | The goals of the Radio Television Film Graduate Student Organization (RTFGSO) are the following: (a) to serve as a representative body for addressing major issues and concerns of all Radio-Television-Film graduate students (MA,MFA,PhD); (b) to promote professional development of its membership; (c) to promote cohesion between the media studies graduate student body and the graduate production student body through social events, as academic forums, and symposia. | The current era of austerity measures and extreme budgetary cuts in education has created a political climate in which decisions of profound import to the professional and personal lives of graduate students are being made on a regular basis both institutionally and departmentally. Currently, we lack a clear channel of communication through which information on these decisions and changes can be disseminated, discussed, and negotiated. In order to begin the process of resolving this problem, we are proposing the creation of a Radio-Television-Film Graduate Student Organization, which will act as a liaison between the faculty and administration and the general graduate student body. This organization's main goal is to advocate for the interest of graduate students and to foster transparency and representation in all departmental decisions and interactions. In order to do this, RTFGSO must be formed by popular consensus, building on input and suggestions from all members of the RTF graduate student body. In order to begin this discussion, we have authored the first draft of a provisional charter and by-laws for this organization that follows this letter. This document stands as a first step in the process, but must evolve to incorporate the ideas and opinions of all graduate students. |
| Ransack Repertory INACTIVE | A group dedicated to producing, developing, and performing all-new and original performance art in an effort to connect motivated UT students into Austin's performing arts community. | Fundraising, work-shopping, and performing new works, community outreach, creating a place to network. |

Each year, registered student organizations self-identify according to the following twelve categories:
- Educational/Departmental Organizations promote development in a particular academic area.
- Honorary Organizations recognize high-level academic achievement, and generally require a demonstrated interest in a particular career or academic discipline.
- International/Cultural Organizations foster cultural diversity and offer support to their members and the campus community.
- Legislative Student Organizations Graduate Student Assembly, Senate of College Councils and Student Government.
- Political Organizations support political parties, political issues and/or candidates who are seeking political office.
- Professional Organizations provide a preview of students' anticipated professional careers. Group activities may include speakers, field trips and volunteer or field work.
- Recreational Organizations promote sports-oriented programs and/or recreational activities.
- Religious Organizations serve as support for students of a particular religious persuasion or denomination.
- Service Organizations provide volunteers for on-campus and off-campus projects. Membership requirements generally include a commitment to work for and/or an interest in a particular cause.
- Social Organizations foster social networks among members.
- Special Interest Organizations focus on a specific issue or topic.
- Student Governance Organizations address student needs and express student views.
