Punjabbawockeez, or PJW, consists of extremely passionate, goofy, and handsome dancers whose common goal is having fun on and off stage. Each member of PJW brings something unique to the table. Making their debut in the Fall of 2010 at Jhalak, this band of brothers has changed the South Asian dance scene at UT. Punjabbawockeez stays heavily involved outside talent shows by facilitating unity in the South Asian dance community, participating in community service, and holding mixers with other dance teams and organizations. Punjabbawockeez hopes to score dates, promote bromances, and captivate audiences for many years to come. | Punjabbawockeez has regular practices to prepare for the dance competition season. We compete in U.T., in greater Texas, and nationally. Outside of dance, we strive to impact the community through participation in service through various events, like free dance workshops in Austin schools. We also strive to impact the South Asian dance community on campus by planning some large events that bring everyone together to facilitate unity and collaboration. |
