K V R X Student Radio	KVRX, the student radio station at UT, broadcasts at night on 91.7FM and streams online 24/7. Students can learn about music, production, recording, and do a show ranging from specialty genres to talk shows. We also host and sponsor concerts and review shows.	Hosting events and meetings on campus, doing remote broadcasts, and organizing concerts around town. We discuss and review music and train students and set them up with their own weekly radio shows.
Kairos Christian Fellowship	Meet weekly to study the bible, serve the UT campus.	Weekly bible study, small groups, course on Christianity, fellowship gatherings
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. - NPHC	To inspire service in the public interest, to assist in the aims and purposes of colleges and universities, to promote the spiritual, moral and intellectual welfare of members.	Major activities include providing a leadership model for young black students, particularly high school and junior high school, to provide a public service for the black community.
Kappa Alpha Theta - UPC	To provide a good social and academic atmosphere for college students. We also have service projects.	Kappa Alpha Theta is interested in educational, philanthropic, and fraternal pursuits.
Kappa Delta - UPC	To meet other girls and belong to a group at the University and also to participate in philanthropic work.	Philanthropies, social events, weekly meetings.
Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Incorporated - LPHC	The Purpose of Kappa Delta Chi is to promote the values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity and Leadership among women at colleges and universities.	We are an ambitions organization who prides ourselves on many devoted hours of community service. We also keep a high standard of achievement in the area of academics. Kappa Epsilon - Pharmacy	Students in College of Pharmacy. Strives to promote professional as well as individual achievement; establish lines of cooperation and communication between faculty and students; promotes professional consciousness and a bond of lasting fellowship between its members.	Sponsor service projects every semester that benefit both members and the Austin community; especially interested in health profession oriented projects that are a learning experience for both the student and the community. Kappa Kappa Psi	To serve and promote the Texas Longhorn Band, to honor outstanding boardmembers, to stimulate campus leadership, to foster a close relationship between college bands, and to provide fellowship for all engaged in college band work.	To provide general service and manpower for band activities (i.e. serving BBQ to Longhorn Band and families on home football game days, giving apples and drinks to the Longhorn Band and visiting bands for all football games.)
Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc. - TAPC	We the sisters of Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority Inc. shall create a sisterhood directed towards the advancement of women. Kappa Phi Gamma aims to instill integrity of character as components of personality. The sorority shall create a sisterhood directed towards the adancement of women. Kappa Phi Gamma shall create pride of culture, womenhood, and self.	Womanhood, self, character, leadership, scholarship, culture.
Kappa Phi Lambda - TAPC	To build a strong and solid band with each of the members while embracing each others culture and serving the community to better oneself.	Community service, fundraising, cultural awareness events, leadership, career oriented activities, philanthropy, and develop sisterhood.
Kappa Rho Pre-Medical Honors Society	Kappa Rho was founded in 2010 to bring women together who are interested in medicine and to give them the opportunity to explore that interest while meeting and making friends with people who have the same goals. Our goal is to create a medical society built upon the principles of leadership, academic excellence, service, community involvement, and a profound interest in the sciences.	Major activities undertaken by Kappa Rho include doctor shadowing, volunteering in local hospitals, and visiting medical schools. We also make it a priority to be active and informed in the campus and local Austin community, especially in health related issues. Kappa Rho Honors Society's chief interest is the preparation of its members to meet the challenges and experiences offered by competitive medical schools.
Kappa Sigma Fraternity - IFC	To promote scholastic, athletic and social achievement among the members.	IFC
Kappa Theta Epsilon	Provide for networking among co-op students, promote career opportunities through industry, speakers, provide inside information to the general student body about the co-op program and create programs to keep students academically sharp while on leave.	Host activities for co-op students and other groups through dinners, paintball, etc. We will also organize plant tours, fundraisers and seminars.
Kenyan International Service Society (K.I.S.S.) INACTIVE	Purpose is to increase awareness of the economic status of Kenya, fundraise money to sponsor high schools in Kenya, and recruit volunteers ti teach in Kenyan primary schools.	Fundraising to provide opportunities for children in Kenya can get a good education. Involves dance nights to raise money, bake sales, t-shirts sales, and 5k races.
Kinesiology Club	To provide a network for our professional development by facilitating interation between kinesilogy related majors, the faculty, and the community.	Our club participates in intramurals, socials, community service projects, university sport support, and involvement department functions.
Kinsolving Residence Hall Council (KRHC)	To promote interest and involvement in the Kinsolving Residence Hall. Our involvement contributes to a stronger sense of community among residents. KRHC supports RAs, sponsor social and community activities, and coordinate with our parent organization, URHA.	We foster fun and spirit in the residence hall through programs like KHOP, Pajama-Rama, Halloween Carnival, Disney Karaoke, and George Kinsolving's Birthday Party.
Koinonia	Koinonia is a campus group where any student can learn about Christianity.	Regular meetings to study the Bible together, occasional fun outings/activities.
Korean American Catholic Ministry (KACM)	to strengthen the relationships among the believers to help each other learn and get closer to God.	We gather once every week to praise and worship, study or discuss bible, and do any other acivities that are related to our purpose of the organization.
Korean Music Association	To discuss and debate the various aspects of Korean pop culture trends and events, with a focus on the music entertainment industry.	Biweekly meetings where we show newly released music and engage in pertinent discussion with fellow members. We may host socials to further explore Korean culture through major Korean entertainment events and regional cuisine.

Korean Undergraduate Baptist Students (KUBS)	The Korean Undergraduate Baptist Students (KUBS) is a college ministry. KUBS gather together on a weekly basis to worship, to fellowship, and to grow together in Jesus Christ through Bible study and discipleship training. Korean and English small groups are offered to accommodate for students from Korea (ESL included) and local students who are more comfortable in English.	College worship on Fridays and church worship on Sundays. Other activities include discipleship training, picnics, fun-raising events, retreats, and other KBCA-related events. Korean Undergraduate Students Association	To advocate the education of the Korean history, heritage, relevance, and culture and to promote the unity and connectivity of the Koreans present in the student body and around the world.	We will hold informational meetings, social events, community service activities that serve our official service.
Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association - Young Generation INACTIVE	As a student chapter of KSEA, we provide educational and professional networking opportunities to further individual's interests in Science and Engineering.	Major activities include speaker series, mentorship programs, research presentation workshop, and providing opportunities for national conferences hosted by KSEA.

Categories of UT Austin Registered Student Organizations
Each year, registered student organizations self-identify according to the following twelve categories:

Educational/Departmental Organizations promote development in a particular academic area.
Honorary Organizations recognize high-level academic achievement, and generally require a demonstrated interest in a particular career or academic discipline.
International/Cultural Organizations foster cultural diversity and offer support to their members and the campus community.
Legislative Student Organizations Graduate Student Assembly, Senate of College Councils and Student Government.
Political Organizations support political parties, political issues and/or candidates who are seeking political office.
Professional Organizations provide a preview of students' anticipated professional careers. Group activities may include speakers, field trips and volunteer or field work.
Recreational Organizations promote sports-oriented programs and/or recreational activities.
Religious Organizations serve as support for students of a particular religious persuasion or denomination.
Service Organizations provide volunteers for on-campus and off-campus projects. Membership requirements generally include a commitment to work for and/or an interest in a particular cause.
Social Organizations foster social networks among members.
Special Interest Organizations focus on a specific issue or topic.
Student Governance Organizations address student needs and express student views.
