Japan Karate Association Austin (JKAA)To provide quality instruction in traditional Japanese Karate-do.Traditional Karate training emphasizes perfection of character. Regular training consists of basics practice (Kihon), Kata practice and sparring training (Kumite). Ranking examinations will be held.

Jiil Jadiid INACTIVETo organize the annual Jiil Jadiid Conference at UT Austin, which aims to foster productive dialogue about Arabic studies in the 21st century among members of the American and international academic community.The annual Jiil Jadiid Conference, which aims to promote dialogue about Arabic studies in the 21st century. The first Jiil Jadiid Conference in 2011 brought together graduate students from 18 universities. The second will take place on February 23-25, 2012.
