E3W"E3W" stand for "Ethnic and Third World Literature." Though based in the English Department, our student organization is committed to promoting the study of underrepresented literature, culture, and history throughout the University.Our major activities include the annual Sequels Conference on Ethnic and Third World Literature and the annual publication of the E3W Review of Books. Both the Conference and Review bring together students and faculty from all over the University and other higher learning institutions.

Economics Graduates Assembled (EGAD)This assembly of economics graduate students in a body devoted to one goal: Improving the lives of the economic graduate students. This goal will be accomplished through three areas as described below in the Functions Section.Our activities encompass three general areas; 1) Social. EGAD will support social interaction among graduate students and between graduate students and faculty. 2) Educational. EGAD will support seminars that address students decisions on shaping experiences within the department. 3) Political. EGAD will work to improve graduate students' standing int eh department and in the field of economics as a whole.
EDIBL at the University of Texas at Austin INACTIVEShed Light on the subject of entomophagy or insect eating.Educational meetings to discuss and share the positive implications of introducing insect as an alternate protein source. Offer the community to try different insects.
EDM ClubProvide Students a way to meet and collaborate on audio projects and DJ mixes. Function as both a social and educational organization dedicated to audio technology and dance music culture.Audio podcast maintained by members, weekly meetings that focus on social listening and technical discussion, and specially organized seminars given by members demonstrating their knowledge of specific audio tools.

EERI (Earthquake Engineering Research Institute)To expose students to state-of-the-art earthquake engineering research and design practices, as well as to provide an additional means of communicating UT research findings to other students and to the industry.The Chapter will invite knowledgeable lecturers to speak at Chapter functions. These functions will be open to anyone interested in the lecture topic.
El Paso Student Pharmacist AssociationTo promote the profession of pharmacy to the El Paso community; to support and participate in projects which will advance the profession of pharmacy; to foster interest in and loyalty to the College of Pharmacy of the University of Texas at Austin in cooperation with the university of Texas at El Paso; to promote a community of interest and activities between the students and the faculty of the UTEP/UT Austin Cooperative Pharmacy Programs.EPSPA's focus is to serve the community primarily through screenings and public health education. For example, EPSPA's has volunteered at the Great American Smoke act Awareness Fair, Special Olympics, Poison Control Center, etc. Through fundraising, EPSPA has helped promote scholarships to students wanting to attend national and state pharmacy meetings. EPSPA has helped its members attain immunization and CPR certification and helped pre-pharmacy students prepare for their pharmacy school interviews.
Election Supervisory Board INACTIVEThe Election Supervisory Board conducts and oversees campus-wide elections. Campus-wide elections are held in the spring and fall of each year. University entities participating in the spring campus-wide elections include: Student Government, Graduate Student Assembly, Texas Student Media, the University Co-operative Society, and University Unions.Voting for the spring elections takes place for two days, and fall elections take place for one day. Current students can vote from any computer with Internet-access at www.utexasvote.org To qualify to run in the elections, a student must fill out the appropriate forms with the respective University entity. After a candidate has filed, he/she must attend the candidate seminar, conducted by the Election Supervisory Board, held prior to campaigning. A student can only run as an independent candidate.
Electro Dance Club INACTIVELearn how to electro dance, conduct dance workshops, share ideas, inspire one another, and meet new people.Club members are allowed to partake in dance studio workshops.
Electrochemical Society - Student ChapterTo help foster understanding and promote electrochemical and solid state science among students. To gain recognition for the members scholarly and community services.Our organization will pursue activities such as organizing guest lecturers, seminars and gettogethers that support and enhance the education, professional and community service mission of ECS.
Electronic Game Developers SocietyTo allow students opportunities to network with the gaming industry and to provide a forum where they may learn about game development and improve their skills.Throughout the year we invite guest speakers from the industry. We also initiate projects within committees so student may gain experience working with others and in leadership.

Engineering 2016 Class CouncilTo facilitate events in an effort to create a greater sense of community within the Engineering Class of 2016, encouraging relationships among all departments of the Cockrell School. Engineering Chamber OrchestraTo create a college-wide musical society that provides flexible opportunities for students to enjoy making music together. The Orchestra ultimately envisions to establish a unique musical culture within the Cockrell School of Engineering.EChO places its members into small chamber ensembles, each of which prepare a musical selection over the course of a semester. The end-of-semester concert showcases the diverse musical talents of EChO members. EChO also hosts socials, service events, and fundraisers to create a musical community.

Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW-UT)ESW mobilizes students through education, technical projects, and collaborative action to impact local and global sustainability challenges.Our chapter pursues many activities focused on the promotion of sustainability. Our members run multiple technical projects at any given time, like our recycling program or the installation of a 230 watt solar panel for a high school. We regularly attend various events around campus where we educate others on the benefits of sustainability, and we volunteer for activities like the SEC E-Wastedrive. Basically, we provide our members with a frame work to pursue their sustainable goals!
Engineers for Christ INACTIVEUT Engineering student organization existing for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through discipleship and missional community-Proclaiming the Gospel within the UT Engineering community; -Providing Christian Discipleship for incoming and new students; -Uniting believers within the Cockrell School of Engineering.
Entrepreneur SocietyMcCombs' Entrepreneur Society (ES) is an organization that brings together MBA students with a common interest in entrepreneurship. Counting 30% of the full time MBA students as dues-paying members, ES is one of McCombs' largest student organizations. It is also among the most active. This spring ES will be hosting a series of Whiteboarding events at which aspiring entrepreneurs can get feedback on their business ideas, a happy hour for MBA students from other programs visiting Austin for SXSW, an panel discussion headlined by Austin entrepreneur Tito Beveridge of Tito's Vodka, an event for admitted students at the MBA program's preview weekend highlighting the many entrepreneurial resources McCombs, the University of Texas, and Austin have to offer, and ES Connections, a networking and recruiting event that introduces MBA students to local startups.

Every Nation Campus MinistriesTo teach from the bible the message of Jesus Christ, and to provide an environment where students can grow with other students in their Christian faith. Through leadership training and development, we hope to instill in the students the desire for self-improvement, scholastic and moral excellence, and civic responsibility.Every Nation Campus Ministries holds weekly campus meetings, Wednesday nights at 8pm. We also have weekly small group bible studies and fellowship activities. Additionally, we host guest speakers and special topic seminars.
   
 

Categories of UT Austin Registered Student Organizations
Each year, registered student organizations self-identify according to the following twelve categories:
