Capoeira ClubThe Mission Statement of the Capoeira Club is as follows: The Capoeira Club promotes the art of capoeira and the study of Afro-Brazilian culture. The practice of capoeira includes study of the Portuguese language, Afro-Brazilian history, music, dance, and martial arts. The purpose of the Club is to provide members of the UT Austin Community with an organization that facilitates and promotes these studies. Through the promotion of capoeira, the Capoeira Club will bring the charity, friendship, discipline, and joy of capoeira to the greater Emory community.We would like to provide various classes during the week. These classes would include Portuguese language classes, music classes, Brazilian dance classes, and Capoeira classes. Once a year or once a semester depending on the size of the group of students, we would like to have a belt ceremony where the students would be awarded a new belt based on their level of training. We would also like to organize special workshops taught by visiting professors, as well as host a nationwide tournament.

Caring for CamoCaring for Camo is a student organization committed to helping currently deployed US troops by sending letters and care packages.We plan on holding meetings twice a month with the goal of planning our collection drives. Our primary goal is to send as many letters and care packages as possible to the troops. In order to collect letters and goods we will table around campus and at various location in the Austin community. We also plan on selling merchandise throughout campus and online including T-Shirts, Wristbands, and other various products in order to raise money to pay for care packages. We will also hold partnership events with local businesses in order to help raise money. 100% of all proceeds will go directly to helping the Troops.

China CareEvery year tens of thousands of children are thrust into overcrowded, under funded orphanages and abandoned because parent's can't afford to care for them. And for children born with disabilities, the outlook is far grimmer. Our mission is to give Chinese orphans the opportunity for a life of love & American families the means to provide it. Collegium MusicumThe Collegium Musicum is an independent, extracurricular chorus at the University of Texas at Austin. We offer the University's student choral singers a year-round opportunity to sing the great choral music of the Western tradition, placing special emphasis on music of the Renaissance and Middle Ages, and on works of unusual musical or historical significance.Rehearsal two nights each week (Thurs/Sun. 7:00-9:30 PM); 1-2 concerts per semester; 1 overnight retreat per semester.
ColorCancerWe fundraise by selling shirts in the colors corresponding to the cancer that individuals have been affected by. The money raised through the sale of these shirts goes toward small groups who have taken action towards various cancer causes and hope to affect change in a large way. Our motto is "Every cancer has a color. Every color has a story." We are passionate about his cause because these aren't just colors. These colors represent families who have lost loved one's, they represent individuals who are currently in and out of hospital rooms searching for the next cure, and they represent those who have battled cancer and won. No one has the same story I do, no one has the same story you do, but with ColorCancer we know that while we are unique, we are not alone.Spread awareness, offer hope and encouragement, and raise funds to support cancer related causes. Partner with cancer related organizations, volunteer in the community, and practice health promotion. Many different events this semester, such as Color Run, Texas Stars Hockey Game, LiveStrong Expo, and more.
Communication CouncilOur council's main purpose is to address student concerns in the College of Communication by fostering and maintaining a strong relationship with our college's administration. Additionally, we facilitate interactions between students, faculty , and staff in the college; represent the college at University-wide events; and serve the city of Austin through our volunteer and community service outreach.As the liaison between students and faculty of the College of Communication, we are the voice of student concerns. We instill a sense of pride in the college of communication by unifying the student body with faculty and staff, creating an uplifting spirit for all.

Consortium For Research in Teacher EducationThe Consortium for Research in Teacher Education is an interdisciplinary graduate student organization which promotes rigorous quality research on the education of teachers in a variety of contexts. The consortium fosters collaboration among its members as well as external partnerships that support and influence teacher education. The organization values membership from all departments and fields of study.Goals of C.R.T.E. include the establishment of mentorship between members and others for development and professional growth in graduate studies and educational research; advocacly for issues in teacher education for its members and partners; formation of a reservoir of information and resources related to research in teacher education; and development of an intercollegiate network of teacher education researchers.
Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)CMAA educates students interested in construction engineering an construction management in ways to be successful in the industry. Through presentations from company representatives to field trips to construction sites, CMAA exposes students to the construction world.Meetings with presentations from company representatives will be held multiple times each semester. In addition, the CMAA officers will educate the members in ways to successful in their job searches in the construction industry. Finally, CMAA goes on a field trip to a construction sit at least once a semester, giving students hands-on experience in the construction world.

We are a service organization that primarily works with young children. Our goal is to connect UT students to opportunities to give back to the community. We provide the networking and tools to enable students to reach out and make a difference to the lives of young children.We work with many children who are undergoing difficult situations, such as being ill or underprivileged. Within our own group of students, many long-term friendships have been created. We provide a community where members work together and are able to do what they do best, making huge contributions to children in need.

Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified students into the Cooperative Pharmacy program and pharmacy profession. Strengthen the relationship between pharmacy students and all pre-pharmacy students. 3. Enrich the leadership skills, organizational involvement, and professional development of members. 4.
