Registered student organizations at The University of Texas at Austin are required to complete important documentation prior to travel.
All registered student organizations must coordinate and obtain approval for international travel from the International Office to ensure compliance with the UT Austin Travel Policy. If the registered student organization is a sponsored student organization, they must also coordinate with their sponsoring department as prescribed by the UT Austin Travel Policy. The University seeks to ensure that students have appropriate insurance coverage while abroad. In order to work towards this goal, the UT System has instructed all campuses to ensure that students participating in international activities and programs have appropriate health insurance coverage for the duration of their time abroad and are registered with International SOS. Information about the required policy can be found on Study Abroad's Overseas Insurance website.
