You've been admitted to UT Austin, now what?

Students on the West Mall Come to an Orientation session, and we'll take care of the rest! Our friendly Orientation staff will help you become better acquainted with University life, register for classes, take placement tests, get to know your fellow classmates, meet with a representative from your college/school, find ways you can get involved, have fun, and generally answer all your questions about UT Austin! Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor, obtain your student ID and upgrade your UT EID, set up your e-mail accounts, and learn how you can get involved at UT Austin.

Orientation Sessions:

Spring Orientation

Online registration will be available starting November 1, 2009
If you applied for and received admission to the spring semester, you should attend this orientation

Summer School Orientation(6/1/09)

Online registration will be available starting March 30, 2009
If you applied for and received admission to the summer term and plan on registering for classes during the first term, nine weeks or both summer semesters you should attend this orientation

Summer Orientation

Online registration is available now.
If you are a Fall Admit you may register to attend Summer Orientation.
If you are freshman and attending summer second term (beginning July 13, 2009) you may attend Summer Orientation, sessions 1-5 only.

Family Orientation

Online registration will be available starting January 28, 2009
Family Orientation is provided to family members of students attending a freshman Summer Orientation session
