Recognition Programs

Order of Omega Students Order of Omega Awards: Greek Life and Intercultural Education, the Office of the Vice President, the Office of the Dean of Students and the Order of Omega recognize outstanding chapter and individual accomplishments at the annual spring awards banquet. Greek Spotlight: Each semester, Greek Life and Intercultural Education honors outstanding students within the Greek Community. Students receiving this award are "spotlighted" in the Daily Texan for their outstanding community service, academic achievement and involvement both within their community and throughout the entire University.

Hyperion Dinner: This event honors the Greek community's most outstanding students who work diligently to improve the community, often behind the scenes. Hyperion Dinner celebrates those sorority and fraternity members for their unselfish contributions to their chapters and councils.

Good Standing: "Good Standing" is a recognition system designed to encourage those chapters that are making outstanding achievements as healthy and thriving Greek-lettered organizations. Organizations in "Good Standing" have achieved the following:

Providing Greek Life and Intercultural Education with signed grade releases for all of your organization members
Providing Greek Life and Intercultural Education with updated rosters for your organization each semester
Informing your respective Council Advisor of all dates related to New Member Education, Membership Intake, or any other such activities, if applicable
Having all of your new members attend the New Member Orientation Program - Greek 101
Registering with Student Activities and Leadership Development as a student organization
Maintaining a minimum cumulative chapter grade point average of 2.0 (verification will occur mid semester)
Having two of your members attend the Greek Leadership Retreat
Having no outstanding dues owed to your respective Council
Having no University, Council or National penalties
