Discover the true meaning of "What Starts Here Changes the World" from student leaders who have dedicated themselves wholly to various projects on campus and within Austin. Learn how to take initiative and become involved with the many opportunities available in your community, remain dedicated while balancing academics and personal needs, and become inspired to follow in these leaders' footsteps while leaving your own behind.

Understanding how to lead a group of very diverse communication styles and temperaments is vital to success as a leader. Come learn about your ownpersonal leadership style and the unique strengths that distinguish you as a leader, as well as how to communicate effectively with other leadership styles in order to create a harmonious, productive, and supportive working environment.

In the globalized society of today, leaders around the world must embrace such diversity in order to bridge differences and incite global harmony. Ethics, Decision-Making, & Crisis Management
As a leader, you will often be in a position to choose between the 'right thing' and the 'easy thing'. Find out the difference between the two, and how ethics plays a role in decision-making during crises from a UT Austin graduate who has previously served as Lieutenant General in the United States Marine Corps and as Director of NASA's Johnson Space Center.

Diplomacy and Social Etiquette
Clear, efficient communication is the glue that holds together the various facets of effective leadership. Learn how to relate with, appeal to, and persuade people of different backgrounds, personalities, and temperaments from a member of the Senior Foreign service who has more than 25 years of diplomatic experience in countries ranging from Sri Lanka to South Africa.

Learn how to acquire the skills needed to achieve success as a leader by being fully involved in every experience, and how to maintain connections derived from every experience in order to build a sustainable career. Discover your inner desires and ideals and how to sustain these motivations throughout your life from a UT graduate who has committed her life to public service, even serving for 10 years at the Texas House of Representatives.
