Texas Asian Pan-Hellenic Council (TAPC) Recruiting
Texas Asian Pan-Hellenic Council membership recruitment takes place in both the fall and spring semesters. During the second week of school each semester, TAPC organizations hand out fliers on the West mall and in Jester residence hall to interested recruits. The rush period lasts the entire week and is intended to simulate the experience of being a member of a TAPC organization. The week may include a service project, mixer, and sisterhood or brotherhood event. Potential new members must submit applications and be interviewed in order to receive a bid.
The new member process lasts 8-12 weeks. There is a formal presentation to family, friends, etc. There is also a special ceremony a chapter holds for new members to become initiated members of the chapter and typically marks the end of the new member process.
