Greek Leadership Class
Fraternity and sorority members who take this class are eager to learn more about the critical issues leaders encounter in the campus community. Not only do students have the chance to participate in interactive discussions with other Greek leaders about topics such as motivation; interpersonal communication; cultural diversity; conflict resolution; risk management; and community service, they have the opportunity to learn more about their individual leadership skills. The class is taught by staff members within the Greek Life and Intercultural Education area of the Office of the Dean of Students. This three-hour class is an upper division elective that is taught through the Department of Educational Psychology (EDP 369K) each semester.

Former students have said:
"I am appreciative for the new friendships I have gained that have been provided by the class. The issues that have been discussed throughout the semester have really opened my eyes to the difference of opinions we all hold ... and feel free to challenge those differences that I do not feel are benefiting of the Greek community. It has given me great insight on all the members of our large organization as a whole."
--Stephanie Falls, Kappa Kappa Gamma
"We had an opportunity to interact and get to know people who we would have never even met if it were not for the class. I thought that was very powerful."
--Choquette, "Cookie" Peterson, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
