How to File

Graduate Student Assembly

  • Candidates can file in the Student Government Office located in the Student Activity Center, 2.102, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday 1/16/18 to 2/13/18.
  • The deadline to file is February 13th at noon in the Student Activity Center, Room 2.102
  • A mandatory candidate seminar will be held February 13th at 9:00 p.m.

Student Government

  • Candidates can file in the Student Government Office located in the Student Activity Center, 2.102, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday 1/16/18 to 2/13/18.
  • The deadline to file is February 13th at noon in the Student Activity Center, Room 2.102
  • A mandatory candidate seminar will be held February 13th at 9:00 p.m.

Texas Student Media

  • For information about filing for the Editor and Board positions please visit www.utexas.edu/tsm or call 512-471-5083.
  • Applications must be returned with all applicable material to the Texas Student Media Business Office in the William Randolph Hearst Building (HSM), Room 3.200 by 12 noon on Monday, January 29, 2018.
  • Applicants will be reviewed for certification by the Board of Operating Trustees at the Board's meeting on Friday, February 2, 2018.
  • A mandatory candidate seminar will be held February 13th at 9:00 p.m.

University Unions Board Of Directors At-large Representative Positions / Campus Events + Entertainment President Position

  • For application and position information, please visit https://universityunions.utexas.edu/info/elected-student-positions.
  • Filing begins at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
  • Candidate packets may be picked up at the University Unions Executive Director's office, located in the Texas Union, UNB 4.124.
  • The deadline to file is February 13th at 12 noon. Completed candidate materials/packets must be delivered to the University Unions Director's office no later than the filing deadline.

University Co-op

  • Application packets will be available beginning January 16th both online at http://universitycoop.com/info/elections and at the Co-op Main Store (2246 Guadalupe), Co-op East (2902 Medical Arts), or University Co-op Executive Office (2214 San Antonio Street, Suite 100).
  • The deadline to file for UT Co-op candidacy is February 13th at 12:00 Noon at the University Co-op Executive Office at 2214 San Antonio Street, Suite 100.
  • A mandatory candidate seminar will be held February 13th at 9:00 p.m.

Student Government First-Year / Transfer Representative

  • Candidates can file in the Student Government Office located in the Student Activity Center, 2.102, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday 8/29/17 to 9/19/17. *The office will be closed on September 4th for Labor Day.
  • The deadline to file is 9/19/17 at noon in SAC 2.102.
  • A 150-word candidate statement is also due on 9/19/17 at 5 p.m. to bcarreon@austin.utexas.edu.
  • A mandatory candidate seminar will be held on 9/19/17 at 9 p.m., in SAC 1.118.
