This space is reserved for invitations from UT Registered Student Organizations interested in endorsing candidates in this year's Campus-Wide Election. If your organization would like to announce an endorsement meeting, you can send the invitation to Truc Nguyen at truc.nguyen@utexas.edu.
Dear Candidates,
We cordially invite you to attend our endorsement meeting for Campus-Wide Election 2013 on Thursday, February 21st, 7:30 pm in GAR 0.102. This will be a great opportunity for you to introduce yourselves and engage members of College Republicans, our invited guests, and others with your platforms. Your vision and ideas for Student Government, Texas Media, Student Union, etc. matter to us because the Forty Acres matters to us.
If you are campaigning to unite students, then we hope that you live up to your words by being truly attentive to diverse perspectives within the student body. We challenge you to think outside the box to tackle problems affecting the student body. Your receptiveness to our ideas will go a long way in our view of you and your campaign. We look forward to meeting and getting to know some of your ideas for our University this Thursday.
If you are interested in seeking our endorsement, please complete this short questionnaire before 5 pm on Thursday, submit it to me at Danny.Zeng@utexas.edu, and I will then forward it to our members. For those not seeking our endorsement, we still invite you to join us for a meet and greet. Hope to see you Thursday evening!
Best of luck,
Danny Zeng
Vice President
College Republicans at Texas
You are invited to join University Democrats as we select our endorsed candidates for Campus-Wide elections on Monday February 18th, 8:00 PM, in CLA 0.128, at our 2013 annual endorsement meeting.
All candidates are asked to send a 150 word written statement on platform and goals to vice@udems.org by 11:00 PM on Sunday February 17th. This statement will be made available to UDems members. Our endorsement meeting on Monday will consist of speaking time for each candidate followed by a question and answer period for each race where UDems members will have the opportunity to ask candidates questions. If you do not send in your candidate statement, you are still welcome to attend the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting you are also welcomed to send an authorized rep, but please note your presence is encouraged. If you have any questions, please email our Vice-President at vice@udems.org.
This meeting presents a great opportunity for UDems to get to know you, hear about your ideas on the direction of your particular student leadership organization - whether it is Student Government, Texas Union, TSM, etc. - and make our decisions on who to support as an organization. Our membership is 200+! We hope to see you there!
Best of luck on the campaign trail!
Nathaniel Norris, UDems President
