Hours of Operation
2609 University will follow the hours of operation of the Student Organization Center. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Saturday through Sunday.

Building Manager
The building manager coordinates and monitors the physical, life safety, security and general maintenance and repair of 2609 University. The building manager serves as the liaison for coordination and communications to building occupants regarding hours of operation, security, emergency preparedness, maintenance, construction repairs and renovations and utility delivery. The building manager is located on the ground floor of the SSB, G1.408A. The office hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and can be reached at 512-232-2890.
Building Closures
2609 University will be closed on all official University holidays, and may operate on reduced hours when classes are not in session. For finals and holiday schedule call the Student Organization Center at 512-471-3065.
In addition, the facility or any portion thereof may be closed at the discretion of the University. Closure may occur but is not limited to the following: emergency or scheduled maintenance, special events, interruption of utility services and dangerous conditions.

- Art materials are free for student organizations to use in the SOC, including butcher paper, paint and brushes, markers, rulers, and colored pencils. (currently unavailable)

- Reservable Space
- Two multipurpose rooms (UA9 2.106 & 2.108) are available to reserve by student organizations and units under the Office of the Dean of Students. Reserve rooms for Summer 2021 through EMS.
- UA9 space reservations for Fall 2021 will open at 10:00 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 for DoS staff. Registered student organizations may begin submitting reservation requests one week later at 10:00 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, July 27th, 2021.
- This past academic year, the University provided guidelines for on campus events to occur. While we do not currently know what University event guidance will be for fall 2021, we will continue to follow the current guidelines set in place until further notice.
